Thambadola Ella is an attractive waterfall located in the Kalu Gala Proposed Reserve in the Kalutara District of the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Also known as Ridivita Falls and Polgampola Falls as it is located in the Polgampola area.
This was a small waterfall 3 meters high but it was a free and quiet place with natural beauty that fascinated everyone. There are several safe areas for bathing and having fun. The waterfall is surrounded by a green ecosystem. Local birds, as well as several species of fish, can be seen in and around the waterfall. Therefore, it is important that the environment is protected in this way.
This is a freshwater ecosystem with tropical rainforests. The water is very fresh and clean. This waterfall is created by the water flowing from the Sinharaja forest and the Kalu Gala Mukalan reserve. This waterfall is one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka.
From Matugama take the Agalawatta road via Kithulgoda and travel about 1.5 km on the Kuruwita road at Polgampola to reach Thambadola Falls.
