Seethawaka Botanical Garden is a wet zone botanic gardens. Located in the Avissawella area in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. The land area is about 79 acres. One of the most recently established botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. It was opened to the public in the year 2014.
Seethawaka Botanic Gardens is a research area and has been designated as a conservation area for endangered and endangered plant species in the Sinharaja Rainforest Zone.
Tickets are Rs. 100 (Adults). Polythene does not allow anything to be taken inside and if you carry plastic water bottles, do not forget to bring it with you. It is a little hot during the day so if you can go in the evening you can reduce the fatigue a bit.
There are also facilities to buy the food you need inside. It is home to a wide variety of flowers, ferns, fruits and a large number of herbs. In addition, you can see a large number of rare plants endemic to Sri Lanka. Don't forget to take a dip in the nearby Kumari Falls on the way.
