Thudugala Ella

Description

Tudugala Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in Kalutara. In the reserve, Tudugala flows like a giant, lifting the biodiversity of Tudugala, pushing the great body of water to the edge of the river, breaking into three parts, sometimes innocently flooding the reserve.

Route: This waterfall can be reached by taking the Kalutara - Matugama road towards Kalutara for about 3 km and turning right at the Tudugala junction for about 4 km. A small footpath runs in the middle of a rubber plantation near a dilapidated building now believed to belong to a white gentleman who lived in the past. If it's a crowded day, you can hear the sound of people playing bongos at the bottom of the waterfall in the middle of the footpath.
