Description

Katugas Ela is a magnificent waterfall about 6 meters high. It is nourished by the springs of the Katugas Ella Sri Pada Forest, which cascades down the majestic Lila of Kospelawinna village in the Ratnapura District of the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.

It is not easy to reach the waterfall .The water flows into two parts. At first he finds himself in the lower part about a meter high. A lot of people think that's the end of it. From there, it is not easy to jump over the rocks, but at the end of the trek you can reach the 6 meter high Katugas Ela.

You can even bathe in the natural pool here and there. There is also a beautiful natural pool at the foot of the waterfall. It is also a place to bathe. But the rainy season is dangerous.

It's an easy ride when it's raining, but going to the waterfall when it's raining is a battle between life and death. Because there are moats around.

Route: From Ratnapura turn off at Weralupa Junction and drive for about 2.5 km. Vehicles crossing the small bridge have to be stopped. From there you have to go about 100 meters along a main road.
