Duwili Ella Waterfall or Walawe Ganga East Falls is a waterfall located in the village of Thanjatenna, about 4 km from Balangoda in the Ratnapura District of Sri Lanka. The height of the waterfall is about 40 meters.

Duwili Ella Waterfall is located in the Rajawaka Reserve which covers an area of 5536.69 hectares at the border of Uva Province and Sabaragamuwa Province. Duwili Ella Waterfall belongs to the dry zone of Sri Lanka according to the climatic conditions. The height of this waterfall is about 40 meters (130 feet). Duwili Ella Waterfall waterfall is fed by the Walawe river.

At a height of about 40 meters, the dust clouds formed by the scattering of water droplets from each other are spectacular. According to environmentalists, there are several waterfalls known as the Cyrillic Duwili Ella Waterfall. Among them, this Duwili Ella Waterfall that cascades down to Kalthota is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.

The Samanala Wewa reserve is also a specialty as the upper land area belongs to the area where the waterfall is located. Duwili Ella Waterfall is said that this waterfall was first discovered by an English Governor who was visiting elephants in the Sabaragamuwa Province.

About 30 km from Balangoda on the Kaltota road you can reach the car park at Duwili Ella Waterfall. To get near the falls, you have to go down about 500 meters from there.

The entrance to the Duwili Ella Waterfall is a bit difficult, but it falls in the middle of a blue headland. In the early days, one had to walk to the falls, but today, with the revival of the local tourism industry, temporary accommodation and sanitation facilities have been built for tourists visiting the falls.

The coolness and shade of the forest floor is immeasurable. A viewing point has been set up near the falls and you can easily see the falls from there. Toilet facilities as well as a children's park have been set up near this viewing point.

Duwili Ella Waterfall is very dangerous to go down the waterfall and near the waterfall. Also, the waterfall area is not suitable for bathing.

Duwili Ella Waterfall is possible to swim safely in certain places above the falls.
