About 16 miles from the village of Atonwala is exhausting Dumbara Ella Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka that can be reached after a hike and completely eliminates the hassle of traveling.

Route: T his fall is located in the Kalupahana area in the Matale District (Laggala Divisional Secretariat). Km from Matale via Rattota. 36 km, or 5 km from Laggala. 7 km to reach the ancient villages of Ilukumbra, Rathninda and Mahalakotuwa in the Dumbara Forest Travel time is 1.5 hours
