Diyavini Ella Falls: Amazing Waterfall In Balangoda

Description

Diyavini Ella Falls is a beautiful 60 meter high waterfall located in the Kaltota area of Balangoda in the Ratnapura District of the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Diyavini Ella Falls is the 37th tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. This waterfall is called Diyavini Ella because it is a waterfall that cascades down like a single straight pole. This was later changed to Diyavini Ella for ease of pronunciation.

This waterfall flows down the Diyavini Range, the last mountain range in the central highlands. It is safe to say that small streams of water slowly flowed into a ravine and came together in one place. The large body of water is able to flow straight down the Diyavini stream. It is a great view to clear the mind. Fields in areas such as Diyavinna and Sandagiriya are fertilized by the flowing streams.

Route:This waterfall is located on the Weligepola road from Balangoda town on the Kapugala road near the Sri Devagiri Rajamaha Viharaya in the Diyavinna village.
