Bakers Bend

Bakers Bends is a scenic tourist spot located in the beautiful Belihuloya Nanperial Estate in the Ratnapura District of the Baragamuwa Province. It's located at the foothills of the Horton Plains .It's about 5,000 feet above sea level. After passing Belihuloya on the Colombo-Badulla road for a few kilometers we can reach the entrance of this Nanperiyak estate. The Nanperial route starts at the Nanperial bend. At the top of this road we meet Bakers Bend.

The Bakers Bend is located in the Nanperial Estate, so you'll need to get permission from the estate office and walk up. It takes about two hours to get from the parking lot to Bakers Bend.

History: It gets its name from the fact that Mr. Bakers, who discovered Little England or Nuwara Eliyain Sri Lanka, slipped on his horse and fell to his death with his horse.

It's a little hard to get permission to go to these Bakers Bends, but most people call the journey here a journey to heaven. The road here is due to the beauty of the surroundings as well as the size of the waterfalls. The journey to Bakers Bend was not a difficult one. So anyone can travel easily. The bends we encounter in this Nanperial area are numbered. Baker's Bend is the 23rd such bend. The number of waterfalls we encounter on the way here is huge but they are not very famous. When we go to these Bakers Bends, we can see the beautiful Samanala Wewa and the Southern Province of Sri Lanka on a fog free day and we can see the beautiful Nagrak Bungalow above. If you go here, you are definitely requested to go on a rain-free day as it is a rain-free day to enjoy the beauty of the environment to the fullest.

To protect this environment, you will not be allowed to carry polythene or plastic in any way as you enter from the Nanperial Estate.

Located at an elevation of 1700 m (5000 ft) above sea level, this scenic spot offers a breathtaking view of the Butterfly Reservoir on a clear day. But during the rainy season the place is covered with fog. I The temperature in the place is also very low.

Route:Entrance to Nanperial Road. If you enter the road by vehicle from this place. A permit must be obtained. If you want to travel this route, you must obtain a permit for your vehicle. For that you have to pay 50 / = and obtain the permit from the main entrance. You can use that permit to travel to the Nanperial Tea Factory.

Nanperial: There are many places to experience the beauty of beautiful Sri Lanka. The Nanperial area is one of the beautiful areas. Nanperial is a place with lots to see and beauty. You know about Belihuloya along that beautiful river. Hirikatu Oya is another beautiful place in between. It is a tourist spot near Hirikatu Oya which is a place where beauty is maximized.

Nanperial If you've ever been to Horton Plains and seen the end of the world. Because this Nanperial is the big tea garden below the end of the world. This road even leads to the end of the world. But at present it is not allowed to go to the end of the world by this route. Even so, there is no problem on this road to reach the beautiful Nunperial village. There is even a SLTB bus running on this route and it is the main pilot connecting the Nanperial village with the outside world. When the bus is not available, the villagers often walk the 9 miles [9 km].

Nagrak bungalow: It is believed that this bungalow was built on the top of the hill in the year 1936. This bungalow, which is always shrouded in mist, is surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful surroundings. Like a bungalow in the middle of a flower garden.
