Ramboda Falls is located on the main road from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, just past the Ramboda Tunnel. There are two parts of the falls called Ramboda Falls and Lower Ramboda Falls.
Ramboda Falls is the 11th tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th largest waterfall in the world. In addition to Ramboda Falls, another small waterfall cascades down. This Poona Falls takes a different form. Two rivers coming from both sides fall down at the same place. It breaks down into a Y-shape
From Nuwara Eliya Road you can see only the middle and lower part of the waterfall. To see the top of both, you have to walk about 750 meters along the footpath near the waterfall. To see both you have to go up and down a short distance from the main road. The road to the top is paved with stairs.
After climbing up the stairs to see Udaramboda Falls, an observation deck has been built. You can also visit the viewing tower. You can also go to the foot of the falls below the attic and see the falls. Once you reach the foot of the falls, you will feel like a waterfall all around.
