Description

Kirindi Ella Waterfall located in Kuttapitiya village in the Pelmadulla Divisional Secretariat Division in the Ratnapura District of the Sabaragamuwa Province has attracted both local and foreign tourists. Kirindi Ella Waterfall is one of the 10 tallest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. This natural waterfall which is 116 meters high is created by the tributary of the Denawaka river called Kirindi Oya which starts from the Kuttapitiya hills in Pelmadulla. Later the Denawaka River joins the Kalu River at the Bambarabotuwa Reserve.

Route: After passing Aluthnuwara on the Colombo-Batticaloa road and heading towards Pelmadulla via Balangoda and Opanayaka, you will come across Kirindi Ella Waterfall at Kuttapitiya.
