The name 'Kadiyanlena Ella' came to this waterfall with the legend of the past called 'Broken Falls'. In fact, the name is apt for this waterfall. That is to say, this waterfall falls into three parts. Two sections of it break up at the top of the main road and the other at the bottom.
If you want to go to this waterfall, you have to come to Nawalapitiya town and go about 7km on Talawakele road. It is easy if you go in your private vehicle. Also, if you are going by bus, you need to take a bus from Navakapitiya to Thispane, Talawakele.
There is something special with this waterfall. It is located on the district boundary between the Nuwara Eliya District and the Kandy District.
