Tabbowa Lake: Largest And Oldest Lake In Puttalam Of Sri Lanka

Description

Tabbowa Lake is considered to be the largest and oldest lake in the Puttalam area. The size of this area is about 461 hectares. This lake is fed by Mee Oya. It is believed that this was done by King Kavantissa.

Route: The bund of the tank is about 1910 meters and the bund is 9 meters high.This lake is located in the Puttalam district from Colombo to Negombo take the road to Puttalam, turn off the Anuradhapura-Trincomalee road and drive for about 8 km to the Karuwalagaswewa clock tower turn left nearby and meet a short distance away
