Description

Handapanagala lake is located in the Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat Division in the Moneragala District of the Uva Province. On the Wellawaya-Tissamaharama road (A-2) turn left at the Handapanagala junction and reach the Handapanagala lake after about 4 km. It is famous for its freshwater fishing industry. There is a ferry with about 45 boats parked. Great place to watch the sunset view.
