Description

Sahas Uyana has been created with the aim of providing a comfortable destination for the devotees who visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. The Sahas Uyana is made up of several parks, including an outdoor theater, a handicrafts mall, a dining hall, a recreation area and a children's park.

Tomlin Park: also has 16 stalls.

Urban Car Park: has been set up in the Kandy city center to prevent traffic congestion.

Outdoor Theater: This was built with the aim of enhancing the entertainment of all tourists visiting Kandy.

Best Things To Do In Kandy

The main reason for naming Kandy as a World Heritage Site is the location of the Temple of the Tooth in the city. The palace was built by King Wimaladharmasuriya I (1592 - 1604 AD) during the reign of the King of Kandy to house the Tooth Relic of the Supreme Buddha. In addition to the Temple of the Tooth, the Gadaladeniya Temple / Lankathilaka Temple / Ambakke Devalaya have added historical value to the city of Kandy.
