Description

Bentota, located in the Galle District of the Southern Province, is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. The wide Bentota beach, with its bright white sands, is lined with forest remnants and tall palm trees. The Bentota area is famous for its recreational activities such as surfing and diving as well as Ayurvedic medical treatments, water sports such as riding, windsurfing, boogie boarding, water skiing, kite flying, and relaxing in a banana boat for family and children. It has become a popular beach for tourists as there is no shortage of accommodation available for tourists.
